Lithium cyanide, LiCN
Lithium cyanide, LiCN, has not been isolated, but Varet has determined its heat of formation from the hydroxide and hydrocyanic acid:
LiOH,Aq.+HCN,Aq.=LiCN,Aq.+2.925 Cal. The low value is due to the heat absorbed during the ionization of the weak acid. |
